Beef Giardiniera Pinwheels

30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8oz) refrigerated pillsbury pizza crust
  • 3/4 pound thinly sliced Vincent Giordano italian beef with Caputo’s homemade Aus Jus (for dipping)
  • 1 cup drained giardiniera relish (mild or hot, your preference)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Olive oil

Cooking Guide

  1. Preheat: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: Unroll the pizza dough so it is just one flat piece of dough
  3. Assemble the roll-ups: Arrange the roast beef slices evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with the giardiniera and top with cheese.
  4. Roll up: Roll up tightly to form a log.
  5. Coat: Coat the top of the rolled dough with oil
  6. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly, cut into pinwheels/slices before serving. These can be served warm or at room temperature.

Tips and variations:

  • For a spicier kick: Use hot giardiniera or add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • Add some veggies: Include other vegetables like sautéed onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms in the filling.
  • Make it cheesy: Use a blend of cheeses like provolone, mozzarella, and parmesan.
  • Use different meats: Try using sliced ham, turkey, or pepperoni instead of roast beef.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce: Offer a side of marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or a creamy giardiniera dip for dipping.
  • Extra flavor: swap the oil with melted butter or sprinkle with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper before baking

Enjoy your delicious beef and giardiniera pinwheels!
